Eliaquim Mangala Reveal Man city Interest

Eliaquim Mangala flattered by Manchester City interest but happy to stay with Porto
Eliaquim Mangala has admitted that he has been flattered by interest from Premier League outfit Manchester City although he insists that he is happy to remain at his current club, Porto.

Manchester City Manuel Pellegrini considered a move for the French international over the summer window as he sought to bolster his defensive options with injuries to Matija Nastasic, Vincent Kompany, Micah Richards.
City eventually backed away from buying the defender as the £30 million price tag was too high, instead City signed 32 year old Argentine Martin Demichelis who is conincidently injured for six weeks due to a knee injury.
Mangala told Sky Sports: ‘I am delighted to continue and progress with Porto.'
‘I like the club and I never asked to leave and they were not willing to sell me in the first place.'
‘People talk about my valuation as high but it is not me who prices me. But it does not affect me, my job is to come and perform at my best on the green surface.’
Mangala remains a target for several European clubs including Barcelona, Cheslea and PSG. The Frenchman has not ruled out a move in the future to Manchester City.
He added: ‘Man City is nowadays one of the big clubs in the world so you are always flattered by their interest in you.'
